Andrew L. Choi

Hello! I'm Andrew L. Choi, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at University College London, School of Management. I am currently on the job market for assistant professor positions.

By integrating social network research with social psychology, I identify when networks serve as resources versus barriers to individual advancement. My first research stream examines how individual characteristics like gender and social class, together with psychological states like sense of belonging, shape the network positions people attain. My second research stream investigates how the filtering of social network information through individual minds shapes the fundamental building blocks of professional and social life (e.g., new network connections, reputations).
